Moscow - Saba:
Vladimir Shapovalov, a Member of the Board of Directors of the Russian Political Science Association and Project Director of the Institute of Experts for Social Research, strongly condemned the Western support for and silence on the Zionist entity's attacks on Syria. He emphasized that these actions are blatant violations of international law and pose a serious threat to the lives of civilians, particularly women and children.
Shapovalov also condemned the racist genocide crimes being committed by the Zionist entity in Gaza and Lebanon. He called attention to the grave humanitarian crisis unfolding in these regions, stressing that such atrocities must be addressed by the international community to protect innocent lives and uphold the principles of justice and human rights.
The Russian expert said in an interview with the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) Friday: "What the Middle East region is witnessing is evidence of Western double standards, as we do not see any Western calls to stop the Zionist aggression, nor do we see any Western decisions condemning the inhuman tendency of the Zionist authorities. On the contrary, we see unlimited support for "Israel" and the desperate defense of it by Western governments, which encourages it to continue committing the most heinous crimes against the peoples of the region."
He condemned the repeated Zionist attacks on Syrian territory and the support and endorsement that Washington provides to terrorist organizations in Syria and its insistence on occupying Syrian territory, similar to the Zionist occupation of the Golan Heights.
He stressed that both occupations of Syrian territory bear a grudge against Syria.
