The annual Martyr's Day activities for the year 1446 AH concluded on Thursday in Dhamar province with a special event honoring the families of the region’s most esteemed martyrs.
At the closing ceremony, Governor Mohammed al-Bukhaiti emphasized the significance of Martyr’s Day in remembering the sacrifices of the martyrs, caring for their families, and ensuring their contributions to Yemen’s cause are never forgotten.
He highlighted that the recent victories in the Red and Arab Seas, as well as the destruction of key Zionist targets, are the direct result of the martyrs' sacrifices.
Al-Bukhaiti underscored the importance of embracing the culture of jihad and martyrdom to secure the nation’s future and defeat its enemies.
Reflecting on the ongoing struggles in Gaza and Lebanon, the governor pointed out that the crimes of the American-Zionist aggression are a sign of their defeat, and that the blood of the martyrs will ultimately lead to the fall of these forces.
He also affirmed the commitment of the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the Supreme Political Council, and local leadership to support the families of martyrs, the wounded, and the missing, in recognition of their immense sacrifices.
Taha Jaran, head of the General Authority for the Care of the Families of Martyrs, expressed his pride in honoring the families of those who gave their lives for Yemen’s dignity.
He noted that the anniversary of Martyr’s Day is a time to remember the highest form of sacrifice and draw inspiration from it in the continued fight for the nation’s victory.
Ahmed al-Dhorani, head of the General Mobilization Division in Dhamar, emphasized the need to reinforce the concepts of jihad and love for martyrdom, urging the continued pursuit of the martyrs’ path in defending Yemen, its religion, and its values.
He called for further cultural and mobilization activities, as well as ongoing solidarity with the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.
In a speech on behalf of the martyr’s families, Ahmed Suwar expressed his gratitude to the revolution’s leadership and the General Authority for the Care of the Families of Martyrs for their continued support.
He reaffirmed that honoring the martyrs and their families is a true demonstration of loyalty and respect, reinforcing the commitment to uphold the martyrs’ sacrifices.
The ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the enduring spirit of sacrifice in Yemen’s struggle for sovereignty and justice, while also reinforcing solidarity with the broader regional resistance movements.
