Ibb - Saba:
The activities marking the annual Martyr’s Day for the year 1446 AH in Ibb province concluded on Thursday with a commemorative speech event held in Yarim District.
The event, attended by Governor Abdul Wahid Salah, featured remarks from the governorate’s mobilization official, Abdul Fattah Ghallab, who emphasized the profound significance of Martyr’s Day.
He highlighted the immense sacrifices made by the martyrs who gave their lives in defense of Yemen and for the sake of God, underscoring their role in securing victory and dignity for the nation.
Ghallab pointed out that this year’s Martyr’s Day coincides with the ongoing "Al-Aqsa Flood" battle, now in its second year, where the resistance fighters in Palestine and Lebanon continue to battle against the occupying Zionists and their allies, despite the heinous massacres committed against civilians.
He stressed the importance of collective responsibility in upholding the values of jihad, learning from the sacrifices of the martyrs, and ensuring that their families are cared for, especially amid the challenges the nation faces today.
In his speech, the mobilization official in Yarim, Ahmed al-Hasani, reflected on the occasion as an opportunity to renew loyalty to the martyrs’ cause. He reaffirmed that the security, stability, freedom, and dignity Yemen enjoys today are the fruits of the martyrs’ sacrifices, and that their steadfastness continues to inspire the nation in facing current and future challenges.
The event was also attended by province undersecretary Abdulrahman al-Zakri, Maj. Gen. Hamoud Shatan, Assistant Com. of the Fourth Military Region, and key officials from Yarim district and the General Authority for the Care of the Families of Martyrs.
The ceremony included expressive chanting and cultural segments, honoring the sacrifices and legacy of Yemen’s martyrs.
The day served as a powerful reminder of the martyrs’ crucial role in shaping the nation’s present and future, reinforcing the commitment to follow their path of resistance and resilience.
