The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, announced that its mujahideen carried out a complex operation against the soldiers and vehicles of the Zionist enemy near the Bourj Awad junction in the city of Rafah, southern Gaza Strip.
Al-Qassam said in a military statement on Friday: "Its mujahideen were able to carry out a complex operation against enemy soldiers and vehicles near the junction of Burj Awad in the city of Rafah."
"Our mujahideen spotted several Zionist enemy soldiers at the scene and managed to snipe four of them with the al-Ghoul al-Qassami rifle and confirmed the death of two soldiers," she said.
"When a Zionist Merkava tank arrived to their rescue, it was targeted with an Al-Yassin 105 shell and caught fire," it said.
It continued: "Then our mujahideen monitored the progress of a military bulldozer to withdraw the burning tank and targeted it with the Yassin 105 shell, and our mujahideen monitored the landing of helicopters to evacuate."
In a statement earlier today, al-Qassam announced the targeting of a Zionist force that barricaded itself inside a house and killed and wounded its members on Saftawi Street, west of the city of Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip.
In turn, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, in conjunction with the Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, announced the shelling of a command and control center belonging to the Zionist enemy army in the Juhr al-Dik area in the central Gaza Strip with several mortar shells.
