The brutal Zionist aggression last night led to severe damage and great destruction in the bridges of Dabousiya, the Qamar and Al-Jobaniyah bridges in the western countryside of Homs, and Al-Arida in Tartous on the Syrian-Lebanese border, and their departure from service.
The director of the branch of the General Organization for Road Transport in Homs, Engineer Nabil Aqoul, explained in a statement to the Syrian news agency SANA that the Israeli aggression caused the destruction of the "Al-Baytuni - and Al-Ma'dan" bridges, the Gamar Bridge crossing, and Al-Jobaniya, which are vital bridges linking Homs governorate with the Lebanese border, thus cutting off the movement of citizens and cars through these bridges, which are considered economic and social arteries.
Damage to those bridges is currently being detected in preparation for appropriate treatment.
In Tartous, the director of the branch of the General Organization for Road Transport, Engineer Hussein Nasser, explained in a similar statement that the damage to the Arida bridge and severe, causing its complete destruction from the pillars to the slabs of the bridge, in addition to the destruction of the old bridge parallel to it.
He pointed out that the Arida bridge is vital and secures transport movement between the two sides of the southern Kabir River and links Tartous province with the Lebanese border, to exchange the movement of citizens, freight, and land transport.
Nasser pointed out that the damage to the bridge has been detected by the engineers and technicians concerned, in preparation for the appropriate treatment.
The Israeli enemy launched an air aggression from the direction of Lebanese territory at 05:00 a.m., targeting the border crossings between Syria and Lebanon in the western countryside of Homs and Tartous.
