Ibb - Saba:
Ibb province launched a project to remove debris accumulated in the floodways and ferries on both sides of the road linking the city of Al-Adin to the center of Hazm Al-Adin district, with support from the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit.
During the inauguration, Governor Jamal Al-Humairi pointed out that the accumulation of waste on the sides of the roads is one of the most prominent challenges that lead to their deterioration , affect traffic and transportation.
He pointed out that the start of work on the project is a step to address this issue and preserve the road infrastructure in the region. He pointed out that the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit had previously constructed and expanded many roads in the various areas of the directorate, supported about 40 community initiatives with cement and diesel, in addition to implementing more than 24 solar system projects.
For his part, the director of the directorate's Works Office branch, Engineer Rashid Al-Awadhi, emphasized the importance of this project to serve the people of the areas located on this road. He pointed out that the accumulation of waste may cause the road to be out of service due to torrential rains.
For his part, Director of the Maintenance and Operation Department at the Intervention Unit, Engineer Haitham Rubaid, said that the project comes within the framework of the unit's activities to preserve road infrastructure as one of the most important pillars of development.
He explained that the project aims to lift and remove all the accumulated waste on the ferries and torrential streams along the road, using the equipment belonging to the unit in the directorate.
