Liverpool defeated Manchester City by two goals in the 13th round of the English Premier League on Wednesday night at Anfield Stadium.
The goals were scored by Kodi Jakpo in the 12th minute and Mohamed Salah in the 78th minute from the penalty spot.
With this victory, Liverpool raised its balance to 34 points, nine points ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea, while Manchester City's balance stopped at 23 points fifth.
In the same round, Chelsea beat Aston Villa 3-0, Manchester United beat Everton 4-0, and Tottenham Hotspur drew with Fulham 1-1.
