The Syrian army managed today, Wednesday, to thwart the armed organizations' attack on the city of Hama, while military reinforcements continue to arrive at the northern, northeastern and western Hama countryside axes.
News reports stated that the Syrian army thwarted the armed organizations' attack on the city of Hama and secured the points it advanced to in the northeastern Hama countryside, at a distance of more than 15 km from the city.

For its part, the Syrian news agency SANA reported that "the Syrian Arab Army units continue their operations against the sites and axes of terrorist organizations' movements in the northern Hama countryside and are able to expand the city's security zone by about 20 km after eliminating a number of terrorists and destroying their vehicles."
The deputy head of the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria, Oleg Ignasyuk, announced on Tuesday that the Syrian army, with the support of the Russian Air Force, eliminated no less than 100 terrorists and 12 tanks in the provinces of Aleppo, Hama and Idlib.
He explained in a statement: "The Syrian army, with the assistance of the Russian Air Force, continues the process of repelling the terrorist aggression in the provinces of Idlib, Hama and Aleppo, and during the past 24 hours, missile attacks were carried out on places where militants were gathering."
"Up to 100 terrorists were eliminated, and observation points, shelters for militants, sites of anti-aircraft missile systems, multiple launch rocket systems, ammunition depots, weapons and military equipment were destroyed," he added.
He also stated that "12 tanks, two MLRS vehicles, 27 vehicles, three mortars, a control center and an ammunition depot were destroyed."
