Tunisian olive oil exports jump by 47% last November

Tunis - Saba:
Tunisian olive oil exports increased by 47% year-on-year in November, according to data from the National Oil Office.

The Tunisian News Agency reported that Tunisia exported 14,781 tons of olive oil for revenues of 281 million Tunisian dinars (about 90 million US dollars).

A year ago, Tunisia exported 10,053 tons in November, worth 241 million Tunisian dinars (about 78 million US dollars).

Most of Tunisia's olive oil exports are directed mainly to the markets of the European Union, the United States of America, Canada and the Gulf countries.

This development in exports comes at a time when olive oil prices in the world are declining due to the increase in production.

Tunisia, one of the world's leading producers of olive oil, expects to produce about 340,000 tons in the 2024/2025 season.
