Moscow - Saba:

Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed Wednesday that artificial intelligence technologies in Russia are designed to be the most important resource for achieving national goals.

The "Russia Today" website quoted Putin as saying "Artificial intelligence technologies aim to become the most important resource for achieving national development goals, ensuring the strengthening of the country's defense capabilities, the qualitative development of the economy and social sectors, public administration, and the development of innovation."

He added "To successfully solve these problems, Russia must become a world leader not only in creativity, but also in terms of the scale of application, and the penetration of artificial intelligence into all areas of our lives without exception."

Putin stated that "generative artificial intelligence tools accurately predict natural disasters, are able to analyze tables and graphs and solve complex problems in the field of mathematics and physics, and at the optimal level, in many procedures. It is very important for local companies to quickly put all these innovations and achievements into action."

He continued Artificial intelligence technologies open up new opportunities for Russia to create various unmanned systems in the field of robotics.

“Artificial intelligence now understands and analyzes even difficult-to-read images and videos, despite weather conditions and other interference, which opens up qualitatively new opportunities for robotics, for creating unmanned vehicles on land, in the air and in the aquatic environment,” he said.

Putin announced the start of the BRICS alliance on the development of artificial intelligence, and expressed hope that new countries would join it.
