Gaza - Saba:
The number of Palestinian detainees in the West Bank, including al-Quds has surpassed 12,100 since the onset of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, according to a report by Palestinian Prisoners' Institutions released on Thursday.
The report revealed a significant rise in arrests, with over 440 women detained, including those from the 1948 territories and Gaza, and an estimated number of female detainees from Gaza in the dozens.
Additionally, the number of children arrested has reached at least 795, while 141 journalists have been detained, with 59 still in custody, including five women. At least 33 journalists from Gaza are also reported among those detained.
The report also highlighted that more than 10,000 administrative detention orders have been issued, affecting men, women, and children.
The arrests have occurred through raids, military checkpoints, forced surrenders, and hostage-taking tactics. The report further condemned the occupation forces for carrying out field executions, including those of family members of detainees. The highest number of arrests were recorded in al-Quds and Hebron governorates.
The data also included detainees who have been released after being held in custody.
