Transactions executed on the Muscat Stock Exchange rose last week to 5,613, up 32 percent from the previous week's level of 4,238.
Oman News Agency reported on Saturday that the Muscat Stock Exchange last week witnessed trading worth 17.7 million Omani riyals compared to 21.2 million Omani riyals in the previous week.
The market capitalization of the Muscat Stock Exchange fell by the end of last week's trading to RO 27 billion and RO 147 million, recording a weekly loss of about RO 260 million.
Last week, the main index of the Muscat Stock Exchange recorded a decline of 25 points and closed at 4545 points, and the sectoral indices recorded a collective decline with the industrial sector index falling to 5228 points, recording a decline of 51 points, the financial sector index fell 47 points, the services sector index lost nine points, and the Sharia index recorded a decline of about six points.
Last week, the prices of 14 securities rose. The prices of 40 securities fell.
