Moscow - Saba:
The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed on Friday that NATO is preparing for war against Russia. Moscow takes these risks into account through military planning.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said in an interview with the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper that "Russia is constantly adhering to the policy of preventing direct conflict, including by demonstrating our military capabilities."
"There is every reason to believe that the signals we send about the potential consequences of 'force measurement' are read on the other side."
"As for the general course of NATO, it poses a danger to Russia and the overall architecture of global and regional security," Grushko said.
NATO considers Russia to be the "most important and direct threat to the long-term security of its allies." While NATO is trying to "demonize Russia's intentions," it is also trying to achieve superiority in all operating environments (military) and to continuously increase its size.
The Russian politician noted that Western military units near the Russian border are conducting exercises, including training on offensive actions, and developing logistical infrastructure for the rapid transport of troops, weapons, and equipment.
The Russian diplomat concluded: "To sum it up, NATO is preparing for an armed conflict against Russia. The United States and its allies have rejected our proposals to enhance military security. NATO's aggressive behavior and direct risks associated with Russia's security are taken into account in our military development and Russia's defense planning process will be provided."
