Hodeida - Saba:

A meeting in Hodeida province, chaired by governor Abdullah Atifi, was held on Saturday to assess the progress of service projects and the performance of various offices and institutions in the region.

The meeting, attended by key officials including Hodeida province undersecretary Ahmed Al-Bishri, focused on the status of projects aimed at improving water, road, health, and electricity services, as well as addressing issues like acute watery diarrhea and flood damage.

Discussions included the ongoing efforts to improve cleaning, landscaping, and afforestation services in Hodeida city and its districts.

Specific attention was given to the condition of the fish market, with plans to enhance its appearance. The meeting also reviewed the outcomes of previous discussions, including the preparation of an emergency plan, the completion of several road projects like Bajil-Salif road, and the development of a residential city for flood-affected families at Kilo 16.

Governor Atifi praised the efforts and cooperation of service agencies, emphasizing the importance of annual achievement reports that highlight completed projects and those that have stalled. He stressed the need to prioritize citizen welfare, follow up on service progress, and address any issues promptly.

Undersecrectary al-Bishri referred to the directives of the revolutionary leadership, calling on all offices to implement the recommendations of the meeting to achieve substantial improvements in public services.

The officials underscored the need for a qualitative shift in the service sector to better meet the needs of the people.
