European stocks fell on Saturday, and the European Stoxx 600 index closed down 0.9 percent, trimming some of its losses that reached 2 percent during the session.
The healthcare sector index also fell 4 percent, while the Danish benchmark index fell 13.2 percent, recording its lowest close since August 2023.
Most sub-sectors in the Stoxx index also declined, and the real estate sector recorded a rise of 1.4 percent.
The British Financial Times 100 index recorded a decline of 0.3 percent, while data showed that British retail sales rose 0.2 percent last month.
