A person was killed after heavy rains swept parts of Italy , caused severe floods, and the streets of the northern city of Turin were flooded after a river overflowed the city.
Local sources reported today, Friday, that a 92-year-old man died after his house was flooded, while emergency teams continue rescue and assessment operations.
More than 100 municipalities in Piedmont, including the capital Turin, have declared the highest level of red alert.
