A member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, along with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Jamal Amer Talium, met with the Director General of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, accompanied by the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Sana'a, Julien Harneis.
In the meeting, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi welcomed the WHO Director-General and his entourage, stressing the state's care for all employees of UN and international organizations as long as they abide by Yemeni law.
He discussed the unexplained significant reduction in aid despite the ten-year blockade.
He called on the director-general of the World Health Organization to convey his greetings to the UN Secretary-General. He praised his positive stances towards the genocidal war on Gaza.
He expressed his hope that he will continue to maintain his positions without paying attention to the political and media attacks that have affected him by the Zionist lobby.
For his part, FM explained what was discussed during the meetings with the Director General of the Organization regarding the reduction of aid and related issues, including the improvement of the working environment of the organizations in accordance with the five rules governing the work of the organizations that were agreed upon.
He stressed his appreciation for Dr. Tedros' understanding of the humanitarian issues resulting from the reduction of aid and his emphasis on solving them.
For his part, the Director-General of the World Health Organization expressed his thanks to the member of the Political Council for the warm reception and his understanding of the issues raised to him.
He emphasized working to increase humanitarian aid and resolving the issues in this regard.
