As part of an escalating process and as a result of the Zionist enemy's intransigence and its insistence on besieging the people of Gaza, the Yemeni armed forces announced the resumption of the ban on navigation in the Red and Arabian Seas, the Bab al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden against Israeli ships.
The Yemeni decision did not come randomly, but after the expiration of the four-day deadline given by the leader to international mediators to pressure the Zionist entity to open the crossings and bring in aid, which expired without any signs or moves in this direction.
In response to Israel's announcement of suspending the entry of aid into Gaza Strip, which represented a clear violation and coup of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, the revolution leader , Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, announced last Friday that he gave a four-day deadline for mediators to pressure the Zionist enemy to open the crossings and allow the entry of aid to the people of the Gaza Strip, during which time the mediators would pressure the Zionist enemy to open the crossings.
The escalatory step taken by the enemy by closing the crossings was met with widespread condemnation due to its negative repercussions on the more than 2.4 million residents of the Gaza Strip, who are already facing catastrophic humanitarian conditions. Hours before the announcement of the resumption of the Israeli navigation ban, the Minister of Defense and Military Production, Major General Mohammed al-Atifi, confirmed that "the armed forces are ready to implement the directives of the supreme leadership in supporting the people of Gaza and supporting the Palestinian mujahideen strongly and effectively." He emphasized that "the armed forces are in high readiness and at the level of responsibility entrusted to them."
Following the entry into force of the embargo, many international media outlets spoke about the state of anxiety and terror that has gripped the enemy and the street in Israel for fear of the return of Yemeni rockets and marches to Tel Aviv, in anticipation of the bleeding and heavy economic losses that the enemy and its exhausted economy can no longer bear after fifteen months of war.
According to what the commander announced, the military operations pressuring the Zionist entity are mainly aimed at pressuring the Zionist enemy to lift its siege on Gaza, a position that the Yemeni people, leadership and army consider a legitimate religious and humanitarian right for Yemen in the face of the crime of starvation to which the people of Gaza are subjected in full view of the whole world, which cannot be allowed to continue without any action to deter the criminal Zionist enemy, which only understands the language of force and reciprocity.
As soon as the ban went into effect, statements of praise for this courageous Yemeni step were issued, which is not strange to the people of Yemen, its wise leadership and its armed forces, who have supported the brothers in Gaza since the launch of the legendary "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation, and this position has had a great impact on the Zionist and American enemy, as the enemy itself admits.
In one of these statements, the Islamic Jihad Movement welcomed the decision of the Yemeni armed forces to resume the ban on Zionist ships, which it described as a bold step aimed at putting pressure on the entity and its sponsors to reopen the crossings and bring aid to Gaza.
The movement considered the courageous Yemeni position a clear expression of the Yemeni people's originality and courage in supporting their people in the Gaza Strip and their support for the cause of the Palestinian people , their resistance, and it proves once again the Yemeni people's firm commitment to support the Palestinian people and their resistance.
It also expressed appreciation for this great support, calling on the Arab and Islamic peoples to take similar positions that strengthen the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.
