Rabat - Saba:
Morocco's U-17 team was crowned the African Junior Cup after beating Mali on penalties (4-2), after the original time ended in a goalless draw between the two teams, on Saturday, in the final match held at "El Bachir" stadium in Mohammedia, Morocco, in front of a large number of fans.

The final match, which was held at "El Bachir" stadium in Mohammedia, Morocco, witnessed great excitement between the two teams, amid a large crowd of Moroccan supporters who supported their team strongly throughout the match.

Despite mutual attacks and balanced possession, neither team was able to find the back of the net during the 90 minutes, and the game went to a penalty shootout.

Zakaria Khalfaoui succeeded in scoring the second kick for the Atlas Cubs, then Belarouch continued his great brilliance to save the third kick for Mali, then Amine Wahbi scored for the Moroccan team, then Mali scored, before Elias Belmokhtar succeeded in scoring the fourth kick that gave the Moroccan team a precious trophy.

This title is the first of its kind in the history of the Moroccan junior national team, crowning the efforts of Moroccan coach Nabil Baha and his players who presented an exceptional tournament.
