Abu Obaida: Beit Hanoun operation blow to Zionist army's prestige
[Tue, 08 Jul 2025 17:31:22 +0300]

Gaza - Saba:

Abu Obeida, the spokesman for the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), confirmed on Tuesday that the operation carried out by the Brigades last night in Beit Hanoun, north of the Gaza Strip, is a blow to the prestige of the Zionist enemy army.

Abu Obaida said on his official Telegram channel: "The complex Beit Hanoun operation is an additional blow dealt by our fierce fighters to the prestige of the weak occupation army and its most criminal units in an area the occupation thought was safe after leaving no stone unturned."

He added: "The battle of attrition that our fighters are waging with the enemy is a blow to the prestige of the Zionist enemy army." From the north of the Gaza Strip to its south, it will inflict additional losses on him every day. Even if he miraculously succeeded recently in freeing his soldiers from this hell, he may fail later, leaving us with additional prisoners."

The spokesman for the Qassam Brigades emphasized that "the steadfastness of our people and the bravery of its brave resistance fighters are the only ones who will shape the equations and outline the contours of the next phase," emphasizing that "the most foolish decision Netanyahu could make would be to keep his forces inside the Gaza Strip."

The Qassam Brigades posted the following messages last night: "Anticipate a series of deadly ambushes in the city of Beit Hanoun" and "We will destroy the prestige of your army." The video featured a rendering of a burning Israeli tank covered in blood, with dead soldiers scattered around it. Qassam spokesman Abu Obaida also said: "The funerals and bodies of enemy soldiers will become a regular occurrence, God willing, as long as the occupation's aggression and criminal war against our people continues."

The Israeli army confirmed, Tuesday morning, that five of its soldiers were killed and 14 others wounded in a resistance ambush in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza, last night. This incident was described as difficult and exceptional.

The Israeli army stated that all of the dead belonged to the Netzah Yehuda Battalion of the Kfir Brigade, describing the incident in the northern Gaza Strip as "one of the most difficult security incidents."
