Gaza – Saba:
The Palestinian Al-Ahrar Movement on Tuesday mourned the six freed prisoners who had been deported from the West Bank to the Gaza Strip and were martyred by Israeli occupation fire.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the movement said the martyrs had “spent several years in Zionist prisons and were released in the Wafa al-Ahrar (Shalit) prisoner exchange deal. They were killed on Tuesday afternoon as a result of the ongoing Zionist bombardment targeting Palestinians across Gaza governorates.”
The movement described their killing as part of the continuing campaign of genocide and ethnic cleansing, taking place amid “a suspicious global silence” toward the massacres and atrocities committed against innocent civilians, which it said has emboldened the Israeli regime to commit even more crimes against an unarmed people.
Al-Ahrar called on international and human rights institutions to fulfill their responsibilities, enforce international agreements on the occupying entity, and work toward an immediate halt to the bloodshed, particularly in the Gaza Strip.
