Geneva - Saba:
Russia’s Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Geneva, Mikhail Ulyanov, described Iran’s enrichment of uranium to 60% as a direct response to illegal sanctions and hostile pressure from the West.
According to Iran’s Mehr News Agency, Ulyanov made the remarks on social platform X in response to a question about why uranium enrichment was not discussed in a recent interview between U.S. journalist Tucker Carlson and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Ulyanov stated: “Don’t you think that 60% enrichment is simply a countermeasure and a reaction to illegal sanctions and hostile pressure?” He added that the move appears to have been highly effective, as it has alarmed those attempting to pressure Iran.
