The Secretary General of the Local Council of Ibb Province, Amin Al-Warafi, launched on Wednesday a comprehensive cleaning, awareness and environmental education campaign in the province center and districts under the title "For a disease-free society, I will clean my city".
The month-long campaign, with community participation, aims to involve all segments of society, government facilities and private sector institutions in removing waste and instilling behaviors to preserve the environment and public cleanliness.
During the launch, in the presence of the province's deputy governor Harith Al-Maliki, the secretary general of the province's local council, Al-Warafi, explained that the launch of the campaign comes in implementation of the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council, the importance of enhancing community participation and awareness of the importance of maintaining cleanliness , the aesthetic and civilizational appearance of Yemen's tourist capital.
Bilal Al-Dar, Executive Director of the Cleanliness Fund, stressed that the campaign comes to launch the fund's programs and plans for the new year 2025.
He pointed out the importance of community participation in enhancing cleanliness efforts, removing waste and highlighting the aesthetic appearance of the province.
He stressed the need for concerted official , community efforts to support , support the Fund's efforts to improve cleanliness services and educate citizens on the importance of committing to placing waste in its designated places. He praised the level of interaction and wide community and official participation in the implementation of the campaign at the level of the province center and districts.
For his part, the head of the cleanliness sector, Ahmed Ali Al-Jindi, explained that the campaign included, on its first day, the implementation of cleanliness campaigns in the directorates of Al-Dhahar, Al-Mashnah, Al-Makhader, Jubala and rural Ibb, and the distribution of awareness posters, with the participation of local and executive leaders, citizens, university students , governmental and private schools, with the participation of local leaders and citizens.
