Gaza - Saba:
Jihad Movement on Thursday evening mourned the martyrdom of one of its cadres, the freed Palestinian prisoner Ismail Yousef Taqatqa, who ascended at dawn today as a result of deliberate medical negligence and deprivation of treatment throughout his imprisonment after he was diagnosed with cancer inside the enemy's cells.
Jihad said in a press statement "This crime comes within a series of blatant violations practiced by the occupation against our brave prisoners, as hundreds of them suffer from harsh detention conditions that lack the most basic elements of human life, including the necessary medical care, which constitutes a blatant violation of all international laws and conventions."
It stressed that these inhumane practices are nothing but an attempt to undermine the determination and will of our prisoners, who are steadfast in the face of the occupation and its repressive practices, calling on human rights institutions and international organizations to assume their responsibilities towards these ongoing crimes, and to work seriously to pressure the occupation to end the suffering of the prisoners and guarantee their basic rights.
Jihad added "We ask God to bestow His vast mercy on the martyr Ismail Yousef Taqatqa and all the martyrs, and to make their pure blood a curse on the oppressors. We ask God Almighty to grant imminent freedom to all our prisoners who are still resisting with their bodies and souls the machine of oppression in the enemy's prisons. It is a jihad... victory or martyrdom."
