The local authority in Lahj province on Tuesday condemned the continued targeting and bombing of shrines and tombs by the mercenaries of the American-Saudi-Emirati aggression.
The local authority specifically condemned the bombing of the shrine and tomb of Sayyed Salem Thabet in the village of al-Farsha in the Tur al-Baha district, describing it as a criminal act of extremist terrorism.
The authority highlighted that the targeting of religious sites aims to "stir up chaos and sectarian strife" among the Yemeni people and to eliminate the historical and cultural heritage of Yemen.
The local authority called upon international organizations to play their role in protecting Yemeni heritage and historical monuments.
