Sana'a - Saba:
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning predicted cold and very cold weather in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that it expects very cold weather during the night and early morning in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, and Al Bayda, with the possibility of frost (thaw) forming in parts of them.
The weather is likely to be cold in the highlands of Al Jawf, Marib, Al Mahwit, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Al Dhale'e, Shabwa, Hadramout, Al Mahrah, and parts of desert areas.
According to the center, the lowest temperatures recorded in some meteorological stations this morning were as follows: Rasaba-Dhamar: 0.2, Al-Bayda: 0.5, Dhamar: 01.0, Sana'a: 01.0, Amran: 01.0, Sayoun: 06.4, Ataq: 09.2 degrees Celsius.
The center called on citizens, especially the elderly, children, patients and workers during the late night and early morning hours, to take the necessary measures to protect themselves from the cold and very cold weather.
The center urged farmers to take the necessary precautions and follow agricultural instructions to protect their crops, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers and poultry keepers to protect them from the effects of the severe cold.
