The school sports championship for basic education schools, organized by the School Activities Department of the Education Sector in Hodeida Province, kicked off on Tuesday, on the martyr's cup for the year 1446 AH, organized by the School Activities Department of the Education Sector in the province.
At the opening of the championship, the provincial undersecretary for services affairs, Mohammed Halisi, pointed out that the championship coincides with the seventh anniversary of the martyr President Saleh al-Sammad.
For his part, the Director of School Activities in the Education Sector, Khalid Zaid, pointed out that the championship qualifiers will be held in four locations: Hodeida city square, the northern square in the stadiums of Al-Zaidiya district, the southern square in the stadiums of Zabid district, and the eastern square in the stadiums of Bajil district.
He noted that the semifinals and the final will be held at Al-Alafi Sports Stadium to determine the champion of this year's Martyr Leader's Cup.
In the first match of the tournament, the team of Al-Mina district beat the team of Al-Hawk district in a penalty shootout.
