The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expected that the weather will be very cold to cold during the next 24 hours in a number of governorates.
The center reported in its weather bulletin that very cold weather is expected during the night and early morning in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, western Al-Jawf and southern Marib.
While the weather will be cold in the highlands of Al-Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Lahj, Al-Dhale'e and Ibb and desert areas, and relatively cold to cold in the highlands of Taiz, Raymah, Hajjah and Al-Mahwit.
The center stated that the lowest temperatures recorded in some meteorological monitoring stations this morning were as follows: Dhamar-Rasaba: -2, Al-Bayda-Dhi Na'im: -0.2, Amran: 0.2, Dhamar: 1.2, Amran-Qa' Al-Bun: 1.2, Sana'a: 2.4, Ibb: 5.5 degrees Celsius.
He called on citizens, especially the elderly, children, patients and workers during the late night and early morning hours, to take the necessary measures to protect themselves from the cold and very cold weather.
He urged farmers to take the necessary precautions and follow agricultural guidelines to protect their crops, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers and poultry keepers to protect them from the effects of the severe cold.
