Sana'a - Saba:
The Women's Leadership Preparation Center at the Ministry of Youth and Sports held on Monday a powerful honoring ceremony in the capital Sana'a for 297 graduates of training programs designed for the families of martyrs, front-line workers, and those with limited incomes.
The event highlighted the resilience and determination of Yemeni women, with a focus on empowering them to enter the workforce, become self-sufficient, and support their families.
Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Nabeeh Abu Shusaa praised the transformative impact of the programs, which aim to equip women with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in various sectors.
He emphasized the importance of empowering the families of martyrs and front-line workers, who have sacrificed so much for the country.
Abu Shusaa also called for greater support for small women's projects to drive development in Yemen.
Director of the Women's Leadership Preparation Center Umma al-Salam Ishaq explained that the nine-month training programs covered a wide range of fields, including computer skills, languages, sewing, office management, food production, and perfume making.
These programs are part of the ongoing "A Hand that Protects and a Hand that Builds" initiative, aimed at equipping women with practical skills to thrive in the labor market.
The ceremony featured inspiring speeches, including one from graduate Ishraq al-Shawkani, who praised the efforts of all those who contributed to empowering women and enabling their participation in the nation's development.
The event concluded with an exhibition of the graduates’ handcrafted products and the presentation of certificates of appreciation, celebrating their achievements and the promising future they are now prepared to build.
