Jenin - Saba:
The governor of Jenin Governorate in the West Bank, Kamal Abu al-Rub, confirmed that the Zionist enemy cut off electricity to Jenin camp and large parts of its surroundings, and to Jenin Governmental Hospital and Ibn Sina Hospital.
In a press statement today, Thursday, according to the Palestine Today Agency, Abu al-Rub stressed that the occupation prevents fuel from reaching hospitals, which threatens their ability to operate electric generators.
Abu al-Rub pointed out that hospitals currently rely on the fuel available in their generators, with continued attempts to bring in additional quantities of fuel to ensure the continued operation of emergency rooms, the kidney dialysis department, and nurseries. He added that teams and crews of electricity companies are trying to reach the area to repair the faults, but the occupation continues to prevent them.
Regarding the conditions of citizens in the camp, Abu al-Rub explained that the occupation forces forced the residents of the camp to leave their homes under threat of arms, which prompted them to flee to other areas.
He also confirmed that the occupation opened one corridor, where the displaced people are forced to pass through cameras to check their eye and face prints until they reach the return roundabout west of the camp. According to the director of services in the camp, Muhammad al-Dabbagh, and the director of the agency in the camp, the number of families displaced from the camp is estimated at hundreds.
Abu al-Rab said that the Jenin Governorate opened the Kouri Center in addition to other centers in the city to receive the displaced people, but the occupation prevented them from reaching the city and forced them to take the Wadi Burqin road towards the return roundabout. He also added that the municipalities in the western villages of the city have been provided with instructions to open centers and apartments to receive the displaced people and provide them with the necessary needs.
Regarding the ongoing aggression on the city of Jenin and its camp for the third consecutive day, Abu al-Rab pointed out that the aggression has resulted in the martyrdom of 12 people so far, including two young men who were martyred this morning, Thursday, in the town of Burqin, west of Jenin, namely Qutaiba Walid Ahmad Shalabi (30 years old) and Muhammad Asaad Mahmoud Nazzal (25 years old), which raised the number of martyrs in three days of aggression to 12.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli aggression has caused massive destruction to the infrastructure, while the humanitarian situation in the city and camp continues to deteriorate alarmingly manner amid a severe shortage of basic materials.
