Gaza - Saba:

The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas condemned the attacks of the Zionist enemy army on the civilians of southern Lebanon returning to their border villages.

Hamas said in a statement on Sunday evening, "We express our solidarity and support for Lebanon, its people, army and resistance in confronting the brutal Zionist aggression."

Hamas saluted the Lebanese people, especially the convoys of returnees to the southern villages that are still suffering under the Zionist occupation despite the expiration of the sixty-day deadline for the withdrawal of enemy forces from the occupied Lebanese territories at dawn on Sunday, according to the ceasefire agreement.

Hamas said, "The people of southern Lebanon have written a heroic epic by storming the enemy army's checkpoints, liberating their land and returning to it, despite the occupation's nose."

She added that the people of southern Lebanon have offered dozens of martyrs and wounded since this morning, "affirming their adherence to their land, villages, properties, and homes, which they will never abandon, and will not allow the enemy forces to remain on their land under flimsy pretexts and excuses that express the enemy's ambitions for the land and waters of southern Lebanon."

Hamas called on the international community, and Arab and Islamic countries to take urgent action to protect the Lebanese people and force the occupation forces to withdraw immediately from the south, in implementation of the ceasefire agreement, especially international resolution 1701.

Hamas offered its condolences to the families of the martyrs and wished a speedy recovery for the wounded and injured, stressing its full support for Lebanon's sovereignty, security, stability, and the safety of its people and lands.
