Gaza - Saba:
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned statements made by former US President Donald Trump regarding the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and his support for Israeli claims over Palestinian land.
The OIC described Trump's remarks as an endorsement of the Israeli occupation, a violation of international law, and a destabilizing factor in the region.
The organization criticized Trump's call to end funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and his backing of Israeli sovereignty over Palestinian territories.
In response, the OIC reaffirmed Gaza as an integral part of Palestine, rejecting any changes to its geographic or demographic makeup.
The OIC called for a comprehensive ceasefire, the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Palestinian territories, and urgent humanitarian aid for Gaza. It also reiterated its support for UNRWA’s work in addressing the needs of Palestinian refugees.
Further, the OIC reaffirmed its backing of the Palestinian struggle for self-determination, including the creation of an independent Palestinian state with East al-Quds as its capital Sana'a, and reiterated its commitment to a two-state solution and peace based on international law.
