Sana'a - Saba:
The third training course aimed at introducing the Yemeni Single Window System for customs clearance officially began on Wednesday in the capital Sana'a.
Organized by the Customs Authority, the course will run for three days and includes 30 participants, including customs brokers and company representatives.
Abdulkarim Rasea, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Customs Authority for the Technical Sector, opened the session by highlighting the importance of the Single Window system as a major step forward in modernizing Yemen’s customs procedures.
He emphasized that the program aligns with international and regional developments, enabling smoother and more efficient customs transactions.
The course will provide both theoretical and practical training to participants, enabling them to efficiently navigate the system, input data, and track transactions electronically.
Abdulkarim al-Mansour, advisor to the head of the authority, added that the Single Window system has significantly simplified procedures for customs brokers and traders, reducing routine complexities. He also noted that the system connects government and private sector partners, facilitating quicker and more efficient release of goods and products.
The training is part of the Customs Authority's broader initiative to conduct ten intensive courses over the next two months, targeting 400 private-sector trainees.
The program offers a range of services, including electronic customs declarations, payment services, and goods tracking, aiming to modernize Yemen's customs operations in line with global standards.
