The Office of Economy, Industry and Investment in Al-Mahwit Governorate Launched a field campaign today to follow up on the supply situation and monitor the markets in conjunction with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan
At the launch, the Director General of the Office in the Governorate, Mohammed Al-Nozili, stressed the office's keenness to intensify price and supply situation monitoring campaigns in conjunction with the approaching month of Ramadan and to monitor commercial movement during this period and in all markets.
He pointed out that plans have been prepared to implement monitoring and inspection campaigns in markets, bakeries and consumer complexes to ensure the availability of all goods and to control any monopolistic practices or commercial fraud and price manipulation.
He pointed out that the campaign will continue until the end of Ramadan in accordance with the directives of the Ministry's leadership aimed at protecting the consumer and strengthening the supervisory role in the markets and following up on the supply and price situation of basic and consumer goods that are increasingly in demand during the holy month.
He noted that the office will not hesitate to take the necessary legal measures against violators and those who tamper with citizens' livelihoods.
