Al-Hodeida province is witnessing a wide movement as part of its Ramadan plans to improve services, promote social solidarity and strengthen faith identity in a cooperation atmosphere .
More than two weeks after the start of preparations to implement these programs, the local authority and relevant offices continue to carry out campaigns to follow up on basic services and upgrade vital sectors, including public hygiene and health services.
Security agencies are also stepping up their efforts to promote stability in the province through a security and traffic plan to organize traffic and ensure a safe environment that facilitates citizens to carry out their daily activities smoothly.
As part of the preparations for Ramadan events, religious and cultural evenings are being prepared in various districts, which will include Qur'anic competitions, intellectual seminars and chanting evenings that reflect the spirituality of the holy month and contribute to highlighting young talents and encouraging them to be creative.
On the service side, the province carried out intensive cleaning campaigns before the advent of Ramadan, including removing waste, improving sanitation services, preparing parks , public places to receive visitors, and a field trip is being carried out to follow up the level of services and intensify control over restaurants and markets to ensure compliance with health requirements and protect consumers from any violations.
The local authority emphasized that field efforts continue to keep pace with the requirements of the holy month and meet the needs of citizens, as work is being done to enhance services in the water , electricity sectors and ensure their stability during the month of Ramadan.
Within the framework of supporting youth activities, the youth and sports sector is making extensive preparations to organize sports tournaments, cultural competitions and recreational programs that contribute to investing youth time in useful and fruitful activities.
In this context, Al-Hodeida Governor Abdullah Atifi stressed that the Ramadan programs are proceeding according to an integrated plan to serve the citizen. He pointed out that all concerned authorities are working as one team to make the programs and services dedicated to this holy month a success.
He stressed the keenness to follow up on the implementation of Ramadan programs to ensure the achievement of the desired goals and enhance basic services to meet the needs of citizens and alleviate their burdens.
Al-Hodeida governor stressed the importance of concerted efforts between government agencies and the local community to ensure the continuity of work at a high pace, stressing that early preparations have played a role in creating the right atmosphere for the month of Ramadan.
For his part, First Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Bishri explained that efforts are focused on improving public services, especially in the cleanliness, health, water and electricity sectors, to ensure their stability during the holy month.
He stressed that coordination is proceeding well and according to a comprehensive vision that aims to enhance field work and ensure the readiness of all service sectors to provide the best services to citizens and provide a stable Ramadan atmosphere.
Al-Bishri pointed out that the province's operations room is working to coordinate between the concerned authorities to accelerate the pace of completion. He pointed out that field visits will continue throughout the holy month to monitor the level of services and avoid any shortcomings.
He explained that the support and assistance programs are carried out according to a deliberate plan that targets the most needy groups through the distribution of food aid , support for youth , community initiatives to promote social solidarity and strengthen cooperation between members of society.
In a related context, religious and awareness-raising activities are at the forefront of the Ramadan scene, as religious lectures and lessons have been organized in mosques and public councils under the supervision of the Ulema Unit in the province, which deals with various topics including the values of solidarity and the importance of compassion and instilling positive behavior in society.
Sheikh Ali Somel, head of the Ulema Unit in the province, said that awareness-raising efforts during Ramadan are gaining momentum as intensive activities are organized to spread religious and social awareness.
He explained that scholars and preachers are working to deliver targeted messages calling for cooperation and brotherhood, which contributes to creating a community environment based on love and tolerance.
Efforts continue in various fields to ensure that Ramadan programs are implemented in an optimal manner to achieve stability and provide basic services to citizens.
Field reports confirmed that the distribution of food aid continues, with support being provided to poor and needy families in coordination with the concerned authorities as part of efforts to promote social solidarity and ensure that the largest possible segment of the population benefits from this aid.
The local authority is also working to intensify cooperation with youth and community initiatives to start organizing collective iftar tables and expand voluntary activities in order to enhance the spirit of compassion and solidarity among community members.
