Jakarta - Saba:
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed on Wednesday that establishing a sovereign Palestinian state with territorial integrity on the 1967 borders and with East Quds as its capital can no longer be delayed.
Erdogan said during a joint press conference with his Indonesian counterpart, Prabowo Subianto, in the capital, Jakarta: "Instability in Gaza and the Palestinian territories will lead to instability in the region."
He explained that "Israel's" attacks on Gaza have caused damage estimated at about $100 billion.
He added, "Israel must bear the value of the damage it has caused during the 15 months of attacks on Gaza."
Erdogan also stressed that any proposal that obstructs the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state on the 1967 borders will lead to more wars and instability.
He praised Indonesia's position on the Palestinian issue, saying: "We will continue to work with it to rebuild the Gaza Strip."
