Sana'a - Saba:
A meeting chaired by Minister of Culture and Tourism Dr. Ali al-Yafei discussed on Saturday the conditions and performance of the General Authority for the Preservation of Historic Cities.
The meeting reviewed proposals for improving the Authority's performance, including: activating the law for the preservation of historic cities, improving revenues and financial sustainability, preserving the historical character of cities.
The meeting also approved the inclusion of the Heritage House in the emergency project and the formation of a committee to address issues related to the sewage network in the historic city of Sana'a.
The Minister stressed the importance of improving the conditions of employees and developing their skills.
Deputy Minister Abdullah al-Washali emphasized the need to evaluate performance and develop work mechanisms to enhance the effectiveness of the Authority.
