Ibb - Saba:

Ibb Governor, Abdul Wahid Salah, launched a comprehensive cleaning campaign in the governorate center and directorates, in preparation for the month of Ramadan, with the wide participation of official bodies and the local community, to clean streets and neighborhoods, and enhance environmental awareness of the importance of cleanliness as a civilized and cultural behavior.

The governor stressed that this campaign comes in response to the call of the leader of the revolution, Sayyid. Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi on the necessity of receiving the holy month with cleaning campaigns, which reflects the keenness to consolidate the faith identity and religious values in maintaining public cleanliness. He also stressed the importance of cooperation to make the campaign a success and make cities free of waste, calling on local leaders, preachers, media professionals, and neighborhood elders to contribute to raising community awareness and mobilizing efforts to ensure its success.

For his part, Secretary-General of the Local Council, Amin Al-Warafi, indicated that this campaign is an aspect of the religious identity of the Yemeni people in welcoming Ramadan, calling for making the holy month an opportunity to promote the values of goodness and charity and to cooperate with sanitation workers by placing waste in the designated places.

Director of the Sanitation Fund in the governorate, Bilal Al-Dar, and his deputy Adel Omar explained that the campaign will continue until the end of Ramadan, and will include afforestation work, improving streets, and removing waste and visual distortions in various neighborhoods. An awareness program will also be implemented to enhance community awareness of cleanliness and afforestation to maintain a healthy environment.

For his part, the Head of the Sanitation Sector, Ahmed Al-Jundi explained that Ibb city has been divided into eight regions to facilitate the campaign's work, noting that it aims to remove about a thousand tons of waste from the city's streets and directorate centers, with the participation of Sanitation Fund workers and equipment.
