Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, declared his complete and explicit rejection of plans to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and the rest of their lands.

This came yesterday, Thursday, during Saleh's speech at the opening ceremony of the "Benghazi International Stadium", which was maintained by a Turkish company after being closed for 16 years.

In his speech, Saleh said, according to the Palestinian Safa Agency: "These days, the most dangerous conspiracies and attempts are being hatched to liquidate the Palestinian cause after the physical liquidation that our people in Gaza were subjected to over 15 months, which the world followed live from the killing of innocent, defenseless women and children."

Since January 25, US President Donald Trump has been promoting a plan to displace Palestinians from Gaza to neighboring countries such as Egypt and Jordan, which was rejected by the two countries and joined by other Arab countries and regional and international organizations.

In this context, Saleh stressed that "the displacement of a single Palestinian is absolutely unacceptable, let alone the displacement of all the people of Gaza."

He said: "We must all, in a clear voice, declare our complete and explicit rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and the rest of the Palestinian cities and villages."

Saleh pointed out that "the Palestinians are exposed to a long and dangerous series of attacks and violations that no mind or logic can imagine."

He considered that "silence on the crimes of the Israeli occupation represents a crime more heinous than war crimes."

On January 19, a ceasefire between Hamas and "Israel" came into effect, and its first phase will last for 42 days, during which negotiations will begin to start a second and then a third phase, mediated by Egypt and Qatar.

With American support, "Israel" committed genocide in Gaza between October 7, 2023 and January 19, 2025, leaving more than 160,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.
