Cairo - Saba:
Egypt has begun implementing a 1.7 thousand km international road in cooperation with Libya and Chad to enhance trade exchange between the three countries. The road extends through Egypt (400 km), Libya (390 km), and Chad (930 km).
The ongoing stages in Egypt include constructing the road from East Al-Uwaynat to the Kufra port, while agreements have been signed with Egyptian, Libyan and Chadian companies to implement the remaining sectors.
The Egyptian Minister of Transport confirmed that the project will enhance economic integration between countries and encourage trade, and will contribute to creating job opportunities and improving the standard of living in the countries concerned.
