A meeting attended by the Minister of Information, Hashem Sharaf al-Din, and the Governor of Ibb, Abdul Wahid Salah, discussed the progress of work at Ibb Radio and its role in serving the community.
The meeting, which was attended by the directors of the Minister of Information's office, Mohammed al-Saafani; the Director of Information in the Governorate, Abdul Basit al-Nawa'a; the Director of Ibb Radio, Mohammed Hamed; the branch of the Yemeni News Agency, Saba, Fahd Salah; and the staff and employees of Ibb Radio, reviewed the tasks undertaken by the radio station, its activities, and its programs, which keep pace with the current stage in raising community awareness, delivering purposeful messages, and enhancing awareness of national and social issues.
The Director of Radio, the heads of departments and sections, and their staff reviewed the work and activities carried out during the past period, the difficulties and obstacles hindering performance in various aspects under the current circumstances, the necessary solutions, and their aspirations for overcoming them, contributing to the improvement and development of radio work.
In the meeting, the Minister of Information emphasized that the national interest requires everyone to confront the media apparatus affiliated with the aggression forces and their mercenaries, expose their crimes, refute their conspiracies and distortions of the truth, and expose them to local and international public opinion.
He explained that the national media, despite the suffering of its staff and its members due to the repercussions of the economic crisis caused by the aggression and the blockade, has been able to fulfill its role in serving the nation and confronting the aggression's conspiracies, praising the distinguished media and radio performance in Ibb Governorate.
Minister Sharaf al-Din noted that the media battle with the enemy is no less important and fierce than the military, political, and economic battles, which requires greater efforts to develop the media and radio message, mobilize energies to address the changes the nation is experiencing at various levels, and work to unify the national ranks.
He pointed out the importance of the media and radio's role in clarifying the facts and refuting the rumors spread by the enemy and its mouthpieces, as well as developing performance in line with the responsibility placed on those working in this vital sector.
The Minister of Information urged redoubled efforts and enhanced coordination between official media institutions in the governorate, contributing to improved performance and shaping public opinion through their diverse programs.
He pointed out that the current phase requires the media to contribute to strengthening the factors of steadfastness and construction in accordance with the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state.
He urged working according to media principles and a vision that contributes to advancing radio work and developing a plan with tasks that keep pace with the current phase, its needs, and its challenges.
Minister Sharaf al-Din emphasized the role of local and national radio stations in spreading awareness among society and supporting the efforts of the state and local authorities in the governorates in formulating plans and implementing projects, providing services, driving development, and enhancing security and stability.
He emphasized that radio's provision of purposeful and objective content enhances its role as an effective means of building an informed and united society.
He also affirmed the Ministry's readiness to provide support and assistance to develop radio and creative work in the governorate, enabling it to fully fulfill its duty of promoting national values and social solidarity, and providing a platform for dialogue and discussion on important issues of concern to society.
For his part, the Governor of Ibb expressed the governorate's leadership's readiness to provide the necessary support and overcome difficulties to enhance the role of Ibb Radio so it can carry out its assigned tasks and deliver its message to serve the governorate and the nation.
He pointed out that the current situation facing the country requires redoubled efforts to strengthen faith-based identity and popular steadfastness in the face of the schemes targeting the homeland and the nation, led by America and Israel.
Governor Salah praised the role of the radio and national media professionals who dedicate their efforts and energies to serving the governorate and the nation, based on the principle of preserving the national interest, uniting ranks, fostering a culture of love and social solidarity, and addressing any shortcomings or shortcomings through constructive criticism that builds, not destroys.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of Media at the Ministry's Diwan, Abdo Al-Khawlani; Director General of Planning and Projects, Abdul Latif Hamid Al-Din; and Director General of Procurement, Khaled Al-Wazzaf.
The Minister of Information and the Governor of Ibb were also briefed on the progress of work at the radio station. During the visit, they listened to an explanation from the Director General of the station regarding the progress of work, the programming plan, the available capabilities, and the administrative, financial, and technical difficulties.
The Minister of Information highlighted the national role of Ibb Radio and its contribution to enhancing community awareness, steadfastness, and resilience in the face of the forces of aggression led by the United States and Israel.
He praised the efforts of the radio staff and their dedication to fulfilling their media mission despite the difficulties and challenges.
Minister Sharaf al-Din emphasized that the national media has proven itself up to the responsibility of addressing the nation's crucial issues, despite its modest capabilities, and has been able to confront the misleading media campaigns of the aggression media, which has harnessed enormous resources.
