A cultural awareness symposium was held at the historic Muadh ibn Jabal Mosque in al-Jand, Taiz province, commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib.
The event, themed "Imam Ali: Loving Him is Faith, Hating Him is Hypocrisy," was organized by the Guidance Sector, the Endowments Authority Office, and the Scholars and Learners Unit.
Province undersecretary Abdulwasie al-Shamsi and other local officials attended the symposium, where Province Planning and Development Officer Mohammed al-Washli emphasized the importance of remembering Imam Ali's life, courage, and dedication to Islam.
Al-Washli drew parallels between the conspiracies faced by Imam Ali and the current challenges facing Yemen, highlighting the need for the nation to emulate its great leaders and adhere to their principles.
He praised revolution leader's stance and the Yemeni people's support for Palestine and their resistance against "American aggression," stressing the significance of their actions.
The symposium also focused on Imam Ali's life, heroism, wisdom, and his close relationship with Prophet Muhammad. Speakers urged attendees to embody Imam Ali's qualities in confronting contemporary challenges and strengthening unity against "America, the leader of terrorism and global arrogance."
