Gaza - Saba:
The Palestinian Prisoners' Information Office announced on Tuesday the death of national leader and freed prisoner Jabr Ammar, who succumbed to his wounds following enemy shelling of the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, the Prisoners' Information Office said, "Jabr is a freed prisoner who spent 14 years in Israeli prisons and was released in the 1983 prisoner exchange deal."
It added that he was a cadre of resistance against the enemy in Gaza after 1967 and is considered one of the founders of the Islamic movement in prisons.
The Prisoners' Information Office noted that the martyred prisoner Jabr returned to Gaza shortly before the "Al-Aqsa Flood" battle, after being exiled to Sudan for 30 years.
