The office of the General Authority for Endowments in Hodeida province concluded the activities of the Ramadan Qur'anic competition for the year 1446 AH, with the participation of 100 male and female memorizers from different districts of the province.
The closing ceremony honored the winners in the various categories of the competition, which lasted for a week with the participation of 100 male and female memorizers from different districts of the province, who competed in the category of the entire Qur'an, and underwent qualifications according to strict arbitration criteria, where 84 of them passed the entrance tests.
At the conclusion of the competition, Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Bishri praised the competition level , stressing that this annual competition reflects the Yemeni society's adherence to the Holy Qur'an as a way of life, and contributes to preparing a generation that is aware and fortified with faith-based values.
He pointed out that this Qur'anic competition enhances religious awareness and develops the spirit of responsibility among young people, noting that the Holy Qur'an is the basis for the renaissance of the nation, and that such events contribute to building a generation armed with knowledge and faith.
For his part, Sheikh Ali Adabi, Vice President of Dar Al Uloom Sharia University, praised the high level of the contestants.
He stressed that the competition reflects the community's interest in memorizing the Book of Allah, calling for continued support for such initiatives that contribute to the graduation of a generation that is aware and adheres to the teachings of its religion.
He pointed out the importance of this competition in promoting the spirit of positive competition among young people, supporting the memorization of the Qur'an and providing the appropriate environment for them to be future leaders in spreading correct Islamic values.
