Paris - Saba:
France condemned the increasing violence perpetrated by settlers against Palestinians, particularly in the village of Susya in the Masafer Yatta area in the southern occupied West Bank.
In a statement issued last night, the French Foreign Ministry called on the occupying authorities to protect Palestinian civilians and punish the perpetrators of violence that continues with impunity.
It reiterated its condemnation of settlement activity, which contravenes international law, as noted by the International Court of Justice in its advisory ruling issued on July 19.
It also indicated the need to impose sanctions on extremist settlers responsible for violence against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank.
