Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) spokesperson Noor Al-Saqa stated that Palestinians in Gaza are enduring a humanitarian catastrophe under relentless Israeli aggression, making them physically and psychologically unprepared for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr.
In a press statement, Al-Saqa described the situation in Gaza as dire in every aspect, with severe shortages of food, security, and safety. She highlighted the mass displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, forced from their homes by bombings, killings, and destruction.
Many flee while fasting, often without access to proper food for days, leaving them physically and mentally exhausted. Instead of preparing for Eid celebrations, families are burying their loved ones and struggling for survival.
She concluded that Palestinians are fighting to stay alive amid worsening conditions, with no room to think about festivities while mourning the loss of their children and loved ones.
