Occupied Al-Quds:
The Israeli occupation authorities released 30 Palestinian prisoners** from various prisons today after completing their sentences. However, their physical conditions reflected the severe torture, starvation, and medical neglect they endured.
Among the freed prisoners is Saed Salama, a Maqdesian detainee who spent 24 years in Israeli prisons. The occupation imposed strict conditions on him and his family, prohibiting any celebrations upon his release, according to the Palestinian Prisoners' Club.
The club’s statement described the inhumane treatment in Israeli prisons, highlighting severe brutality, with some prisoners requiring urgent medical treatment. Several detainees released from **Megiddo Prison were reportedly infected with scabies due to its widespread outbreak in the facility.
Additionally, some prisoners were physically assaulted even in the final moments before their release.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation continues daily arrest campaigns in the West Bank, detaining thousands since the start of the genocidal war in Gaza.
