Baghdad - Saba:
The Iraqi Army's Eastern Salah al-Din Operations Command announced on Friday the killing of ten terrorists during preemptive operations conducted to ensure security during the Eid al-Fitr holiday in Salah al-Din Governorate, central Iraq.
Major General Ali Muthjal al-Maliki, Commander of the Eastern Salah al-Din Operations, reported that the operations targeted terrorist hideouts, resulting in the elimination of two terrorists in direct engagements and an additional eight through airstrikes within the command's area of responsibility.
General al-Maliki stated that these operations are part of a comprehensive security plan to protect public and recreational areas during the Eid holidays in Tuz, Sulayman Bek, Daquq, and surrounding regions.
He also highlighted the strong security coordination between the Salah al-Din, Diyala, and Kirkuk Operations Commands to achieve these objectives
