Gaza - Saba:
The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) expressed its deep concern about the shrinking space for civilians in Gaza, as they are being forcibly displaced by the "Israeli" occupation from large areas of the Strip.
In a statement on Friday, cited by the Palestinian News Agency, the OHCHR emphasized that "Israeli evictions do not comply with the requirements of international humanitarian law."
UNHCR spokesperson Thameen al-Khaitan said that the "Israeli" occupation has issued ten compulsory evacuation orders covering large areas in all provinces of Gaza Strip, since the resumption of the military aggression on March 18.
He emphasized that civilians who have suffered multiple displacements as a result of these orders are once again faced with a harsh choice between being displaced again or staying and risking their lives.
