Ramallah - Saba:
A general strike swept across all aspects of life on Monday in all Palestinian governorates in the West Bank, refugee camps, and the diaspora, in protest against the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The Council of the Union of Palestinian University Professors and Employees and the General Union of Teachers in the West Bank schools announced a strike in schools and universities in solidarity with Gaza, according to Quds Press.
The Palestinian Bar Association also called for a strike and a refusal to go to court, in protest against the ongoing genocide.
For its part, the Engineers Syndicate - Quds Branch called on engineers to go on a general strike and refrain from going to work, in condemnation of the enemy's crimes in Gaza.
The Alliance of Palestinian Forces in Lebanon (a coalition of Palestinian resistance forces) called yesterday for "broad Palestinian popular participation within the camps," emphasizing "the importance of adhering to ethical standards that express the depth of national belonging and the rejection of genocidal policies."
It called on Arab and Islamic peoples and free people around the world to make this day "a historic milestone in confronting the aggression."
The "Global Campaign to Stop Genocide" on the Gaza Strip called for a global strike on Monday to demand an end to the Zionist war of extermination on the Strip.
The calls carried the hashtag "strike for Gaza" and #strike, coinciding with the outbreak of civil disobedience demonstrations in several Arab countries to stop the genocide in the Gaza Strip.
Since October 7, 2023, the enemy forces, with the support of the United States and Europe, have been committing genocide in the besieged Palestinian Strip, resulting in more than 165,000 Palestinian deaths and injuries, most of them children and women, in addition to more than 11,000 missing persons.
